Fees
At InFocus Family Law, we believe you are buying experience, a trusted advisor and an advocate who will fight for you. We price our services so that there are no surprises to you. We will strive to make sure you know what services will be provided and how much they will cost you prior to purchasing them. We can price our services several ways depending upon your specific legal matter and which option is preferable to you.
Phase-Based Fees
At your initial consultation, we will present several options on how you may proceed with your family law matter ranging from a simple letter to the opposing party, mediation, pre-suit offers of settlement, or a petition to start the litigation process. We will present a list of options and fees associated with each phase of that option.
Flat Fee Unbundled Services
Many times in a family law matter, the service is limited to one specific need of the client such as appearance at a hearing or mediation, drafting or review of a specific document, running child support guidelines, etc. For those circumstances, we provide a flat fee unbundled services rate.
Advance Estimated Hourly Fees
You may decide that hourly fees are the best option for your case. To minimize surprises, we will provide a good faith estimate prior to commencement of service and you will be kept current on any and all fees/costs billed on a regular basis.
Payment Plans
We work with our clients to create a realistic legal budget and if necessary, a payment plan for the necessary services.
Contract for Legal Services
Regardless of the fee structure that is determined to be most appropriate for your specific case, you will be provided with a contract for legal services. The contract is between you and InFocus Family Law Firm and clearly spells out the services to be provided, the agreed upon fee terms and all other issues related to your representation by the firm.
